Try loving yourself and see what happens

It's been months since I first noticed something had changed. I remember telling a friend that, for some reason, I just didn't feel the same way I did a year before; I just started becoming truly grateful for who I am, suddenly I realized how comfortable I was with myself. 

You know, years keep passing by and the more they do the more defined, complete and, therefore, strong I feel; it just seems like I finally found myself. And with this I also noticed how loving myself did change my life completely; I remember starting appreciating every single moment I spent with my family, friends or even strangers wherever I did go. Every single moment gave me a reason to be grateful; I had fun no matter the plan was, even studying I laughed with people I didn't even know that existed an hour ago. I can assure you nothing feels better than accepting oneself; and with accepting oneself I mean being in peace with who you are without thinking you're better than anyone else, knowing your flaws and being okay with them. 

No matter where you go you'll always end up bumping with the person you are and you only get one life, so why don't we just start building ourselves as someone we are proud of? Obviously, I wouldn't have come up with this without the people I have by my side; just because of you I feel brave enough to face anything. I know it all sounds so typical, but I truly feel like doing anything, going anywhere, and being able to stand up when shot down because I feel safe with who I am and who I am surrounded by.

Thanks life for these times in which I feel so in tune with me, my routine, my people; with the world in general.
